Privacy Policy & Terms Of Use

This policy describes what information we collect and how it is used and shared. You can find additional information in the privacy policy. As you review our policy keep in mind that it applies to all Dentech direct brands products and services that do not have a separate privacy policy or that link to this policy which we call the Dentech direct services.

What kinds of information do we collect?

Depending on which Services you use, we collect various kinds of information from or about you. From Things you do and information you provide.

We collect the content and other information you provide when you use our Services, including when you sign up for an account, create or share, and message or communicate with others. This can include information in or about the content you provide, such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created. We also collect information about how you use our Services, such as the types of content you view or engage with or the frequency and duration of your activities.

Things others do and information they provide.

We also collect content and information that other people provide when they use our Services, including information about you, such as when they share a photo of you, send a message to you, or upload, sync or import your contact information.

Your networks and connections.

Information about payments.

If you use our Services for purchases or financial transactions, we collect information about the purchase or transaction. This includes your payment information, such as your credit or debit card number and other card information, and other account and authentication information, as well as billing, shipping and contact details.

Device information.

We collect information from or about the computers, phones, or other devices where you install or access our Services, depending on the permissions you’ve granted. We may associate the information we collect from your different devices, which helps us provide consistent Services across your devices. 

Information from websites and apps that use our Services.

We collect information when you visit or use third-party websites and apps that use our Services. This includes information about the websites and apps you visit, your use of our Services on those websites and apps, as well as information the developer or publisher of the app or website provides to you or us.

Information from third-party partners.

We receive information about you and your activities on and off Dentech Direct from third-party partners, such as information from a partner when we jointly offer services or from an advertiser about your experiences or interactions with them.

Dentech Direct companies.

We receive information about you from companies that are owned or operated by Dentech Direct, in accordance with their terms and policies. 

How do we use this information?

We are passionate about creating engaging and customized experiences for people. We use all of the information we have to help us provide and support our Services. Here’s how:

Provide, improve and develop Services.

We are able to deliver our Services, personalize content, and make suggestions for you by using this information to understand how you use and interact with our Services and the people or things you’re connected to and interested in on and off our Services.
Communicate with you?

We use your information to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Services and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

We use the information we have to help verify accounts and activity, and to promote safety and security on and off of our Services, such as by investigating suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies. We work hard to protect your account using teams of skilled technicians; automated systems, and advanced technology. We use cookies and similar technologies to provide and support our Services and each of the uses outlined and described in this section of our policy.

Sharing on Dentech Direct

People use our Services to connect and share with others. We make this possible by sharing your information in the following ways:

People you share and communicate with.

When you share and communicate using our Services, you choose the audience who can see what you share. 

Public information is any information you share with a public audience, as well as information in your Profile, or content you share on Dentech Direct or another public forum. Public information is available to anyone on or off our Services and can be seen or accessed through online search engines.

Apps, websites and third-party integrations on or using our Services.

When you use third-party apps, websites or other services that use, or are integrated with, our Services, they may receive information about what you post or share. 

Sharing with Third-Party Partners and Customers

We work with third party companies who help us provide and improve our Services or who use advertising or related products, which makes it possible to operate our companies and provide free services to people around the world. 

Here are the types of third parties we can share information with about you:

Advertising, Measurement and Analytics Services (Non-Personally Identifiable Information Only).

We want our advertising to be as relevant and interesting as the other information you find on our Services. We do not share information that personally identifies you with advertising, measurement or analytics partners unless you give us permission. We may provide these partners with information about the reach and effectiveness of their advertising without providing information that personally identifies you, or if we have aggregated the information so that it does not personally identify you. 

Vendors, service providers and other partners.

We transfer information to vendors, service providers, and other partners who globally support our business, These partners must adhere to strict confidentiality obligations in a way that is consistent with this Data Policy and the agreements we enter into with them.

Managing or delete information about you?

You can manage the content and information you share when you use Dentech Direct. We store data for as long as it is necessary to provide products and services to you and others, including those described above. Information associated with your account will be kept until your account is requested in writing to be deleted, unless we no longer need the data to provide products and services.
You can delete your account any time. 

How do we respond to legal requests or prevent harm?

We may access, preserve and share your information in response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of Canada where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards. 

We may also access, preserve and share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud and other illegal activity; to protect ourselves, you and others, including as part of investigations; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm.

Keeping your account and personal information secure

We work hard to help keep your account secure and protect your personal information. By joining Dentech Direct, you agree to use your authentic name and identity. You may not publish the personal information of others without their consent. 

Fraud and Spam:

We work hard to help ensure that the information you share is secure. We investigate any suspected breach of security. Any attempt to compromise the security of a Profile, including fraud, may be referred to law enforcement. 

 Protecting your intellectual property 

Before sharing content on Dentech Direct please be sure you have the right to do so. We ask that you respect copyrights, trademarks, and other legal rights.

Terms Of Use

Candidate: if you are to acquire work on your own accord. It is mandatory to inform inform us as to which lab you are now employed by. If any candidate does find employment elsewhere they are to inform Dentech Direct immediately of their placement and location. Without prejudice send the information and we will keep it on your file.
No contact is made with the current employer unless under contract with Dentech Direct; then it is a breech of contract. 

Dentech Direct (together with its affiliates and subsidiaries, "we", "us", "our" and terms of similar meaning) provides this Website (this site and any software provided by the Company for use with the site, dentechdirect.com to you subject to these terms of use (these "Terms"). In these terms we describe users ("Users") of the Site as both registered and unregistered users.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Site. By accessing, using or browsing the Site you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and all terms, policies and guidelines incorporated by reference in these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms in their entirety, you may not use the Site and may choose to exit the Website.

1.1. In the event that the permanent candidate leaves the employer within the first sixty (60) days from date of hire, for any reason other than company lay-off or termination, Dentech Direct will make best attempt for a maximum of 60 days to find a suitable replacement free of additional charge. 

1.2. There are no refunds 

1.3.  In the event that the candidate is not paid at the end of each day worked, the Credit card on file will be used to pay the candidate their hours worked, and the receipt of payment will be sent to the laboratory

To confirm your understanding and agreement with our policies, please read the following.

Confidential Information

Both parties may receive information that is proprietary to or confidential to the other party or its affiliated companies and their clients. Both parties agree to hold such information in strict confidence and not to disclose such information to third parties or to use such information for any purpose whatsoever other than performing under this Agreement or as required by law. No knowledge, possession, or use of CLIENT’s confidential information will be imputed to DENTECH DIRECT as a result of Assigned Employees’ access to such information.  All legal company names will be kept confidential until the suitable candidate is vetted for the position.

Neither party shall be liable for or be required to indemnify the other party for any incidental, consequential, exemplary, special, punitive, or lost profit damages that arise in connection with this Agreement, regardless of the form of action (whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and regardless of how characterized, even if such party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  1. Direct      Placement Terms. 

Dentech Direct will recruit and refer qualified personnel as available and as needed for direct hire by the dental laboratory or dental office (known in this agreement as “Client”) under the following terms and conditions:

  • A minimum of $ + applicable taxes will be charged at the initial candidate search
  • As agreed upon with the Client and DENTECH DIRECT. All initial agreements are for a period of sixty (90) days from initial contract date.  After 30 days the client must renew or cancel the recruitment 
  • A $+  applicable taxes for each full-time placement.
  • The Client must inform Dentech Direct IMMEDIATELY if the position has been filled outside of our company.
  • During the vetting process it is the discretion of Dentech Direct to release any documented notes and or references in regards to the vetting process what is discussed prior to hiring and/or any detailed notes of said candidates to new and or existing clients upon higher or during the vetting process. 
  • Client is allowed to conduct 1-2 working interviews prior to hire after informing Dentech Direct.  All charges for interviews are to be paid in advance and the candidate is to be paid at the end of each day worked.
  • It is upon the sole discretion of Dentech Direct of what information is distributed to each employer and or client during the vetting process. 
  • If the employer requires additional information regarding background checks, reference checks, previous employment and/or character witness confirmations it is the sole discretion of the client and/or employer of said candidate to obtain this information. 
  • Dentech Direct is in no way liable or responsible for these documents once a candidate has commenced employment with said client. 
  • All vetting processes done prior to hiring of candidate are proprietary and confidential of Dentech Direct. 
  • There are no refunds for charges or services rendered or if Dentech Direct is not successful in placing a respective candidate.
  • If the candidate is not paid at the end of each day worked, the Credit card on file will be used to pay the candidate their hours worked, and the receipt of payment will be sent to the laboratory.
  • Dentech Direct will do their best effort to place each respective candidate for a period of 60 days from initial search date. If candidate is not placed or recruited at that time it is the responsibility of the “Client” to renew searches. 
  • No accounts are allowed to be placed on hold.  A new contract will have to be initialized.

  1. Other      Terms.

  • A search may entail weeks or even months of work. Therefore, Client agrees that if a candidate submitted to Client by DENTECH DIRECT is hired either directly or indirectly within three hundred sixty-five (365) days from the last discussion concerning such candidate it would be a result of DENTECH DIRECT’s efforts on behalf of Client and Client agrees to pay to DENTECH      DIRECT the amount identified above in Section 1.1 of this Agreement.
  • The parties affirm and agree that they are equal employment opportunity employers and are in full compliance with any and or all applicable anti-discrimination laws, rules, and regulations. The parties agree not to harass, discriminate against, or retaliate against any employee of the other because of race, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, marital status, or other category protected by law; nor shall any party cause or request the other party to engage in such discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.  In the event of any complaint of unlawful discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, the parties agree to cooperate in the prompt investigation and resolution of such complaint and shall indemnify each other with respect to any violation.
  • Neither this Agreement nor the services to be provided hereunder shall be construed to create any relationship of employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture between the parties.
  • This Agreement may not be amended, except by writing or an additional Appendix executed between DENTECH DIRECT and the Client.
  • This Agreement, and accompanying appendixes, sets forth the entire agreement of the parties and supersedes all other oral or written agreements between the parties.
  • This Agreement and services rendered with regard to the Agreement shall be deemed to have been entered into and DENTECH DIRECT’s terms, and all questions concerning the validity, interpretation, or performance of any of its terms or provisions, or any rights, or obligations of the parties hereto, shall be governed by and resolved in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario.
